Escape Road drops you behind the wheel of a getaway car with the police already on your tail. There is no finish line and no safe zone. The car keeps rolling forward on its own, so your only job is to steer, brake at the right moment and stay out of the cops' reach for as long as you can. One wrong turn into a wall or a squad car and the chase is over.

Runs are short and fast, which is why Escape Road works so well in a browser tab: you crash, check your time, and you are back on the road a second later trying to beat it.

How to Play Escape Road

The chase starts the moment you press a key. Weave through traffic, cut through alleys and use anything in the city to slow the police down. Stopping is never an option, because a car that stops moving gets you arrested on the spot.

Wanted Level

The longer you survive, the higher your wanted level climbs, up to five stars. Each step brings more pressure: roadblocks, helicopters and patrol cars that try to ram you from the side. Reach the top level and the military joins in with armored trucks and tanks.

Damage

Your car does not explode on the first hit. Watch the smoke: white smoke means you have taken damage, black smoke means one more crash will end the run.

Cash and Cars

Grab the piles of cash scattered across the map. Every $100 pays for a spin on the slot machine, which unlocks a random vehicle. The garage holds about 90 of them, from supercars and go-karts to tractors, a tank and a double-decker bus. You can get duplicates, so keep collecting.

Tips for Longer Escapes

Keep moving. Braking is useful for tight turns, but a full stop ends the run immediately.
Use alleys and narrow streets. Police cars bunch up behind you in tight spaces, and they often crash into each other.
Go around roadblocks early. Turn off before you reach them instead of trying to squeeze through at the last second.
Pick up cash on the way, not on purpose. A long detour for one pile of money is not worth a crash at a high wanted level.
Watch your smoke. Once it turns black, play safe and stay on open roads.
